★ About Your Memory Lane™

A small family of artists.

Custom, personalized street-scene prints, illustrated one memory at a time — in Georgia, for the rest of the world, since 1995.

★ What we make

Every street, illustrated from scratch.

There is no clip art on this site. Every building, every detail, every small joke in the sky is designed and illustrated by a real artist for one person and one occasion.

The reference material comes from you: an "information list" of the moments, places, and people that matter. We turn that list into symbols, and those symbols into a street.

★ How we work

A team, not a transaction.

The people who come to us are almost always looking for something more than a gift in a box — something that rewards effort and can't quite be described in a single sentence.

So this is a two-person job. You tell us the stories. We draw them. You see a proof in a private portal, and not a cent changes hands until you approve it. Typos and minor positioning fixes are on us.

A gentle disclaimer: new images, sweeping rewrites, or excessive repositioning are a different story — they can disrupt the design balance of the whole street and may push your deadline or add cost. We can do almost anything you ask — but as degreed artists, we won't put our name on a print we wouldn't be proud of.

A note from the studio

Nothing on this page is borrowed art. Everything you see, we design — we create — for a specific reason.

★ Thirty years on Memory Lane

From 1995 to today.

The dates that shaped the studio — milestone commissions, family chapters, and the prints we still keep on the wall.

1995

Bob McLean founds Your Memory Lane.

A simple idea: a meaningful gift takes real effort — and that effort is worth it. Bob opens the shop in Georgia with one drawing board, a list of clients, and the rule that would still run the place thirty years later: never charge before the customer approves the proof.

2008

Commissioned for the Carters.

A commemorative 8-building street is presented to President Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter at the Carter Work Project in Americus, GA — twenty-five years of Habitat for Humanity on one block. The print still hangs at the Carter Center.

2024

Ten thousand prints, and counting.

Nearly three decades in. The studio has illustrated streets for weddings, retirements, corporate centennials, and a long list of birthdays nobody else could shop for — and crosses ten thousand commissioned streets, no two alike.

2020

The family takes the brush.

Cully — Bob's son — becomes the studio's main illustrator, and Donna takes over client care. The work continues, every street still drawn from scratch, every brief still a conversation.

2025

Thirty years of original art.

Same drawing board. Same rules. Same family. Thousands of streets later, the only thing that's changed is the wall we're working on next.

★ The people behind the pencil

Meet the family.

Two generations of the same family, on the same drawing board. When you pick up the phone or reply to a proof, you're talking to the people actually making it.

Bob McLean & Don McLean

Founders · 1995

Bob and his brother Don started the studio in 1995 around a single idea: a meaningful gift takes real effort — and that effort is worth it. They drew the first thousand streets themselves, set the rule that no customer pays until the proof is approved, and built the working method the family still uses today. Every print since carries something they decided on day one.

Cully McLean

Main artist

Cully draws every street. He's the one turning your information list into symbols, shading in the late-night details, and catching the thing you didn't realize you wanted until it showed up on the roof of a house.

Donna McLean

Sales & client care

Donna — Cully's mother — is the first voice most customers hear. She walks you through the brief, keeps the timeline honest, and makes sure that if an anniversary is three weeks away, it gets there before the cake does.

★ How we operate

Three things we won't compromise on.

Proof first, pay after.

You see the finished artwork in a private portal before anything is charged. Revise until it's right. See gentle disclaimer above. Only then does it ship — and only then do you pay.

Giclée, not lithograph.

Archival pigment inks on enhanced double-matte fine-art paper. A museum-grade print that holds its color for more than a century.

Planned 21 days ahead.

Every print is fully custom, so production takes time. We ask for three weeks before your occasion — rush orders are possible, and we treat every deadline like our own.
